Grassroots has awarded more than 1000 grants to voluntary and community organisations in Colchester and Tendring. Our grants have been used for a wide range of purposes such as:
- Mentoring services for vulnerable children
- Play equipment for a pre-school sensory garden
- Cookery classes for people who have been homeless
- A Christmas outing for stroke survivors
- Benefits advice for people with learning difficulties

Grant Guidelines
Grant Guidelines
Grassroots provides grants of up to £1000 in North East Essex. Applications will be considered for both new and ongoing projects and assistance is available for both capital expenditure and essential running costs. Applicants should be able to demonstrate how their organisation helps local people, particularly those who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, lonely or isolated.
