The Trust is an independent charity committed to helping local good causes.  We do this by making financial and other assistance available to voluntary and community groups across the Colchester and Tendring area.  By working with statutory partners, individual donors and the business community we can support local voluntary and community organisations making a real difference to people's lives. North East Essex has a rich diversity of voluntary and community organisations providing vital basic facilities for the less fortunate. The area is full of contrasts both geographic and economic, giving rise to a wide range of differing needs. Hundreds of voluntary organisations, from self help groups to much larger projects are working all over the area providing social welfare services which are highly valued by local communities. Our board of trustees use their local knowledge and experience to ensure that our donors' money reaches the good causes which need it most.
